1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
umm, I have no idea. Became radicalised? Rode my motorbike in a big group ride? Went to Southampton for reasons other than minami!

Mate at work, ol' Emmar.

I dont know. Youd have to be pretty fucking close for me to notice. Like sitting on my lap or something then die on me and then maybe Id notice or care.

Engerland.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
£7.6million. A house, wash board abs, pecs, fallout shelter. Many years worth of freeze dried food, water and guns / survival supplies.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
26th June. When I started going out with Chloé, though hilariously I had to as Chloé what the month was.. so I guess it is not as etched as I thought.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not getting sacked for 10 years in a row! Spending money on myself (bought new glasses and a new jacket), burning myself with acid at work erm.. riding my bike a lot. Paying off a loan.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not saving as much as I liked, but since I moved house and the increased living costs it isnt that much of a big deal.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Acid burns a couple of self inflicted blade injuries and a massive bruise on my elbow. I also punched myself in the face a few times back in march and bruied my eye socket minimally.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I dunno, another season of American dad on DVD? ermm....oh! my new jacket (leather one)

Several dictators who saw fit to die this year.

er, I dunno again. Motorbike stuff, attending a biker rally. Seeing Chloé, stuff like that.

oh oh I have to put something cool so I look cool... er actually i dont know. Its probably something like Journey.

ii. richer or poorer? technically poorer, but the savings I had were offset by a loan. So Im actually better off now, even though I have less in savings.
iii. fatter or thinner? Fatter. Damnit! Ive put on a stone or so on account of moving house being more tired and being happier and thus eating shit and drinking more fizzy drinks.

Exercising, saving money. Training and reading up for the impending collapse of society.

was nearly hit by a Ford KA at a roundabout this evening. (driven by a 20 ish something girl and her boyfriend)
They stopped behind me while I waited for traffic to pass. But when it was clear they just drove straight into/accross me and had to break suddenly to avoid hitting me. I think they either
A. Forgot I was there or
B. Assumed because as I was on a bike I was going to pull away reaaaaaaaaly fast, possibly wheelying when it was clear.
Which is obviously what all bikes do in the rain, on roundabouts. They didnt hit me but got very close. I gave them a "wtf look" and an "cant be serious" arm wave and carried on. Hilariously they slowed down and stayed very far away from me down the dual carriage way. Even at the next traffic lights they stayed a good 3 cars behind me (stopped) even though there was nothing between us. Possibly so I wouldnt get off and rant at them. I just gave them a nice solid double thumbs up and again they stayed miles behind me.
I secretly hope it was because I was wearing my leather vest with the motorbike club name on it and they were scared I was in a nasty MCC or one of those nasty gangs like on Sons of Anarchy and not in fact a Accountant or retired Gardener, school teacher etc who happens to own a Harley. woooo scaaaaaaaaaaary!
If they had pulled up along side I would have just asked if it was A, or B above. Sometimes you obviously want to follow them home and trash thier car while they sleep in your head but reality doesnt work that way.

Fate: Traded up for something bigger when I had a garagae again.

+ Points: Great commuter, easy to ride, unusual, good mpg.
- Points: Cold to ride, low wind cover, seat deterorated in the rain rather quickly. Several annoying mechanical failures (front fork and front disc)
Fate: owned for 5 years and sold as deposit for next bike.
2005
Buell Ulysses XB12X. 93bhp £8300 (new) (paid £6500)
Speed reached: 80 (easily) Quoted top of 130+ 0-60 in 4.4 seconds
+ Points: Large road presence. V TWIN engine and sound. Unique, heated grips, passenger seat. HUGE amount of torque, Harley Engine, Low centre of grabity, belt driven, low maintenance. Will retain value well.
- Points: High seat, heavy curb weight, Harley engine (slow gear box), Harley service only. Not made anymore, possible difficult in obtaining parts 5 years down the line.

NEW BIKE
yes, So i bought a new bike. After serval yeras asaving and saving and looking longingly at larger better newer bikes I finally caved in and bought one. Its a very shiny shiny one. A Buell Ulysses. Buell was owned by Harley Davidson up until October 2009. Thebike I have has a 1203cc Sportster engine retuned for a sport bike. meaning the Buell Ulysses is a 93BHP V wtin powered adventure sports.
What that means to you is its huge and loud. its amazingly smooth and plush to ride. very exhilirating and exciting. But its also, dispite its size its very very stable.
I have called it Shirka. Mostly because I needed a female name with some tie to the Ulysses name. I thought thatw as suitable rather than some generic greek goddess. (Shirka is the name of ths ship in the animated Ulysses 31. She had that deep sexy voice.
So thats what it lkooks like, but there are sveral things that are great/unusual about it so lets take the tour!

Minami was ok.
well, about as ok as I was expecting it to be. In that, yeah I was bored and merely floated around chatting to the same people I chat to each year (no bad thing). Talking about a few bits and bons and con politics here and there and gophering the same crap I usually do. Though less of the dealer room due to a tag team attack.
Popped back to the hotel room a few times just to sleep because I either couldnt find anyone interesting to talk to, or was put off by all the weeaboos spacking around. Played some odd card games with some people I met and yeah. wooo samey.
Anyhoo, having serveyed the damage at the gym I can say "ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" 3 days of Ikea breakfasts, mcdonalds, cider, burgers and fizzy drinks has royally fucked me over. So on account of feeling like some bloadted fatty with back boobs ive given myself a new target at the gym. I call it funky motivational name to come later and I hearby decree that my new target weight will be "4kg less than whatever I currently am now, forever". Ive set this target for 6 weeks or so from now, so lets see how that can go. Ive also discovered that Qworn or whateverthefuck its called isnt that bad and I like the fact it can just be chucked in a stirfry without defrosting like chicken. BUT its not chicken, so thus is crap.
In other news I dont really have any other news. New guy at work, I showed some PhD student around the other day, small payrise etc. Waiting on payslip so I can go "wooo after tax thats £12 extra" or something equally meaningless as it will no doubt get swallowed by cost of living increases.
Need new targets, goals. paying off overdraft and hitting a few grand savings has been achived and continuing to save to twice as much as I have now/flat deposit or whatever seems pointless as I cba buying something now anyway and never feel finacially scure enough to purchase anything like that anyway. Fuck you credit crunch!

hating a lot of world events at the moment and should really likely spend less time reading the 10 or so different news websites I read each day for over an hour. Its like Im being radicalised by the daily mail just because the BBC website changed the format of the "have your say" section and the daily mails "comments" on every story function provided me with the sort of "its all labours fault, immigration, rah rah, benefits, if you like it so much why dont you live there, took our jobs" laughs that I used to get from old Aunty beeb.
There is just too much of it every day! lets just get this sodding election out of the way so we can get back to news that isnt the election or volcanos.
Also the TV at the gym wasnt working (all channels) this evening so I missed Panorama.

Decided that I cant be assed setting aside £50 a month for shares/whatever or whatever itw as I actually invest them in. So i cancelled that. As much funas the ever changing value of my cash is (sometimes its a loss, others its a small gain) id rather just stick the cash in a heap in the bank. But hey its abeen a wild 6 months and Im £11 up woo.
Motorinsurance
Bike this year costs me £204 to insure. Each year i hope its going to dip under the 200 mark, but it never seems to do so. Im 31 with 7 years no claims. Apparently the only change i could get would be to start paying a voluntary excess, but it wouldnt make a massive difference and hey,. Id have to pay a voluntary exess if something happened.

Was very entertaining. It reminded me of Shaun of the dead somewhat. in that while its funny and entertaining it can also be bleak, and violent. twas still good thou, and it was nice to see someof the comics of it I read on 4chan ages ago made it in near exactly the same.
Airsoft
Went again with my FN SCAR the other day now its been downgraded. It chroned at around 308 which was ideal seeing as it used to chuck out at 390 - 417 lol. Took ste and Ian with me too. They both had a really good time but from what i can tell got shot to shit. Or at least when they did get shot it was a lot more obvious on them than it was on me. I had my tac vest on and I can take a M4 shot to the chest from <2 metres and while I feel it, its not pain and leaves no mark. This did leave me to suspect that when one of the marshals reminded us about taking our hits he may have meant me. I cant feel shit unless its a really obvious hit. Plus sometimes you know its a ricochet from the angle but meh.
Anyhoo some guys were there that were in a team. very one of them was fully decked out in US marine ACU with tak vests etc. Whne the marshal asked if anyone had pyrotechnics naturally they all did. We cleared them out of a two court rooms in 7 minutes which is apparently a pretty good time. They cleared us out of the same room in 1min 51. the day got more fun when they left as if that was a video game the autobalancing sure as hell woul have shuffled them around a bit.
One guy in a bandana just stormed into us as we were gathered just inside a door and took like 4 of us out with a pistol because we were so close together we couldnt use our rifles. That was pretty cool but he was/they were all still pretty much a bunch of douches.
Will likely get a pistol and some more tac gear next month once I get paid.

managed to aquire sensible sized tables for the dealer room. Its still a pain in teh ass due to the location of the fire exits so Im a bit behind in terms of the layout, but not actually behind in terms of billing people (which traditionally would begin in 2 weeks). I just need to get this layout approved by the venue and then hopefully if its accepted I can start allocating the tables of the intserested dealers. (same suspects as usual).
Its just annoying to go from a nice big room like Aya's last year to a smaller room which while is actually as big as the previous Ame rooms, has less "space".
push bike accident guy
As mentioned on facebook some guy skidded out of control on the hill near my house and went into the back of a car. i was on the way home from town with Ste and heard the skid and thunk noise so we looked up and saw him falling. twas obviously prrett bad so we ran up to see if he was ok. It was obviously serious as SO MUCH BLOOD. We stayed with him till the paramedic arrived, then when the ambulance arrived, and again when the police came to take statements. We kept his bike in our garage as we were the second people on the scene having seen the accident from halfway up the hill ourselves. I actually still have one of his whole teeth on my shelf. (the hospital coundt use it)
Its difficult to describe exactly what damage he had done.. but imagine headbutting the corner of a table with your upper lip. You then split your lip from one side so that a two inch length 1.5 cm deep is hanging freely from one side of your face. Smack out 17 of your teeth (all the front ones) break your jaw in 4 places and for good measure fracture some of your spine in 3 places too. Spend the next 20 minutes puking blood to stop drowning in it and maintaining free airwaves while your lower jaw hangs slackly off your face so you can only make "bluragh, mahhrr iah eaarry hurths" sounds before going into shock and shaking all over the place when we relaise some of your lower teeth are facing forwards and sticking into your lower lips. Lucky I keep all sorts of out of date bandages etc at home that I bring home from work so I had streile wound dressings that we took turns holding on his face until he needed to spit out the blood. When we got to him he was on all fours crawling around making "in pain" noises and when we sat him up and leant him against a car to check him over it was ZOMGWTFBBQ YOUR FACE *PUKE*. I think he knew he was in pretty bad shape as he had obviously just spat out several of his own teeth (we found 3) and his lower jaw as dislocated.
Anyway, twas an odd afternoon
So in short Christ.. SO MUCH BLOOOOOOOOOOD. I threw away the towel I used on him cos I dont think anyone would want to dry thier hands with it anymore.

After deliberating on buying an AEG since about 1998 back when you could get anything I finally deciced to go ahead an buy one before some asshat shoots at someone or gets shot and they get even more difficult to obtain.
Anyhoo, on account of trying out Airsoft in Bristol I found I enjoyed it about as much as I thought I would. Soooo I bought this (second hand from a friend.) So to reiterate in case you didnt know its an airsoft gun, not a real gun so dont worry.
Its Dboys FN SCAR-L in black.
Currently it fires 6mm bbs at around 260mph. It can do this on Full auto, and can churn out about 11-15 rounds per second depending on the battery type used (which isnt actually that much for a airsoft rifle but apparently more than the real gun fires actual bullets.

After 5 years and much pain I have decided to buy a new phone.
I stress that this is only because the old one has no central button so you need a pen to press it, It can only take calls on speakerphone (otherwise i cant hear you), occasionally doesnt charge at all and in general is pretty much dead. because I only get some of the apparent alls/messages sent to me.
So if you are one one the lucky people who I on average send 23 text messages to per month and average £7 call time added to it (thats average remember.. I can go 3 months on 10p) then FEAR NOT!
because Im on the same number.
During the 5 years I owned it I had made a grand total of 7 hours worth of calls EVOR and in its lifetime used it for only 60 hours (dialed and recieved). AS you can see Im a super heavy user!
I have annoyingly lost some textmessages due to upgrading. Like 5/6 text messages ive had for years. oh well I got all my cat/motorbike pictures.
Plus this phone is a funky colour and has a nice fanart Image of mai Waifu Tali from mass effect. woo
Now to load the phone with shitty EBM mp3s and stupid backgrounds and silent hill stuff.

omg, Ame con opened reg, wah wah, go reg.
In other news I havent updated since december. So make something up featuring the usual but throw in clubbing randomly in bath, eating M&Ms, going to Devizes, buying military surplus clothes, playing Resident evil 5 a lot and it being cold.
At work im also learning new stuff. I like the repetition and all the hand movements.
Also I have now finally been airsofting. In about 1.5 months I can legally buy RIF under the Ukara exemption of the VCR act.
This started out as me looking at a few reasonabbly priced JG guns (£130ish)(all of which would need a freaking downgrade), maybe some of the mid range TM starting guns (Famas, some if the M4 variants at around the £180 mark). Perhaps getting an AK, and a revolver and a cheapy pump action shotgun to wanting to spunk £400 on a SCAR H with a grenade launcher before Ive even got batteries and charger etc.
Also found a Barret (full metal) for about £300. But its way too powerful for the venue I played at. Plus the intervention I also found was £1200 and fuck that.

oh yeah, and STALKER 3 is out. need to finish 2 first. Its oooo annoying spending ages killing people and farming guns to sell only to load into another zone and just get robbed by bandits. Now they all hate me again, but ill be fucked if they can have my 300000 credits. You have any idea how slow you walk when carrying 60kgs of M4 rifles? SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, I didnt spend the time doing that to just be robbed!

Lol. Yeah ok, I could say stuff about work, but Ill pass on the moment. I cba talking about it, been weird.

Can afford Harleys now. By end of January with some overtime moneys should be safe enough to swap priority over to paying off overdraft before commencing saving again. Nice to have a saving amount now, can reprioritise saving amount to spread it around it a bit instead. Less focused on getting the numbers up and more possiblitiy of random spend and treats etc. of course I say that and then Ill just be like usual and save save save rah. Though I randomly want to buy a 1/6th resident Evil figure 5 figure at the moment and thats about £130. The company I got shares through has been taken over by a new company so Im debating getting my cash back and slinging it back into savings. need to read through the paperwork and see if I have a mimimum period in which I have to invest etc or if I can just bail now. thats been on my to do list for a week or so.

Went back up to 74kg. Could lift silly amounts compared to when I was 69kg. Looked no different for exception of stronger looking chest. Due to random work stress/worry going home for a week, being ill for a week and not taking all sorts of suppliments Ive been taking Im back to 72kg. happier with that as I was still able to lift some of the weights just not full sets. Going to push at it and set new stupid target. lets call it... urmm Operation Pandora Alomar for no good reason and say... hrm... be stronger, less fat or whatever by the second week of Febuary. Tbh who cares. Just be harder faster stronger black kate moss tonight like usual.

Back In Cornwall
So far today I have walked my sisters dog, Played with my sisters Guinea pigs, watched a few episodes of Sky Plused Star trek with my dad, watched "gone in 60 seconds" with my dad, talked about guns (such as when my dad fired a magnum back in the 70s), talked about Chevy Impalas and Ice Hockey Oh and been food shopping to Morrisons. Ive also pawed at the gun cabinet under the stairs and bought some more beer.
I am also pleased to discover there is still some Jack Daniels left from the last time I visited.

Dreamt that I was in the Broadway Musical Wicked the othernight. It was one of those spur of the moment things. I was supposed to be playing Elphaba and only had 3 days top learn all the lines and songs. To make matters worse I was only given the script on the plane flight over. Sure I could half ass my way thrugh the songs ok with an autoprompt, but I was mainly worried about knowing all the lines and when to say them.
oh the horror!
Fortunately dispite bricking it for most of the dream when I got there it was all ok as the understudy did it instead and I was extremely releived.
Not quite sure as to this dreams meaning.

Hmm i seem to have spent an alarming amount of money on nothing in particualr this month as I am now quite quite skint until payday. WEll i say alarming.. what i mean is alarming for me.. because on account of my cave dwelling hermit like evening activities a typical month I dont spend much at allll.
I should have been able to save £60 this month which was stuff I technically bought l;ast month as I hadnt been paid yet. ADditionally i also had to transfer in £50 from random savings to tide me over and I was expecting to be able to put some back.. boo

Ive also been paid too much this month. Well, Im due to be paid on friday but I have the payslip and they have paid me again for the leave I sold back last month. Not sure how they want to work that out. Either I keep it all this month and get less next month or I can pay them back a little bit each month for the next few months. Neither way is particualrly ideal but I lik the idea of having extra cash this month seeing as its an almost identical amount to what I usually save so THEORETICALLY next month if I save it this month I wont be in the shit.

Trying to think of anything interesting I have been doing since the last update. Shocking its nothing of note.
Spent the last few days of my weekoff hanging about With Rod who came back from Canada last weekend. Met up with Ros from the magical land of anime cons last week too. She just moved here for attending Uni so we had a pizza hut lunch and a bit of a random shop.
Work outing
Went out with some chums from work yesterday night. Havent been out since March. DOnt remember the last time I went out on a Saturday either. its about as bad as I remember it. We started off in Weatherspoons which was crowded and too hot. the westgate was more comfortable, spaced out nicly freshy redecorated and had some funky cocktails. I cba with having anything that took too long to make so after a Jim bean, and a soco and coke (no JD) I opted for a Midori. It was very sweet and bright green (hence the name). Was actually fairly nice, but debateable that it was worth £6. I would have been better off with a cocktail!
We went clubbing after our pub shennaigans and ended up in Poo na na. This wasnt so bad as it is atleast somehwere I am familiar with on account of it being the same venue as the rock nights I attend. They had a crap DJ though who whacked the base up too high that most songs were unrecognisable until the chorus. they also did that clever thing where they mix several songs together. yes yes, your very talented and muscial... now play the songs back to back instead of mixed please so people can dance instead of feeling cheated they got up for one song that was mixed into 2 other songs that they had to dance through before you actually played the song that got everyone on the floor.

Anyway I found a phone
managed to also find the battery and get it working well enough to phone the number in the contacts this morning that was listed as "home". Spoke to some girls mother and dropped off the phone to her place of work. Was dissapointed that this didnt make me feel all useful and good etc. Didnt even get to speak to the person whose phone it was as I gave it to someone else who worked there who identified me as "ah the guy who is dropping off yasmines phone".
ho hum!
In other news negativity! But I never write about that even if I feel it cos no one wants to know!

well here we are, being all 31 an all.
Birthday celebrations
I'd like to thank all those chums who came to my "party". I wasnt planning on anything really, but a few friemnds from work wanted to come over seing as they couldnt make it last year. So I ended up with about 13 people or so making it over for some Rock Band and a follow up TGIs.
I think it was 90% myself ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) zerebubus, elharbinger who did any of the singing for the exception of Ellie from work. But it was a nice few hours singing, eating Cheezy poofs and drinking. Plus the meal as always was great and a very reasonable £200 ish for the lot of us. Even I was defeated by my ribs and only BARELY managed to consume all my food. I blame a lifestyle of eating powdered food.

Gaming
As is evidnet by me not shutting up about STALKER and my sudden interest in Russian Cold war era Military surplus im STILL playing through Oblivion Lost mod version of it. though I have now safely got myself to the point when all that remains is to head to The reactor at ground zero and finish the game. I say "all that remains", but thats still a few hours worth. So im back at 100 RADS bar, so I cant just ass about doing hit man missions and deciding if I want to join FREEDOM or DUTY faction.
FEAR 2.
Pleased that my PC can run it. makes me feel glad I spunked £900 on a PC last year and Im actually sitting around 800gigs of harddrive space remaining instead of 850.
So its good to have naked women chasing after me for a change. Even if they want to strip my skin off and set me on fire. I have jumped a few times and been all "wahhhhh unsettling". But I DO like this kind of crap in games. Woo. No idea how far through I am, but i did get to piloit an Elite mech for 5 mins and blow the shit out of people

Im currently on my break so Im at the gym a lot and enjoying being able to exercise the shit out of myself in operation full reverse
that seems to be going well, but I imagine that the extra weight gane I have is a combination of water retention based on the Creatine I am taking. That siad I have increased my lifting and am Punishing myself at the gym to make th e most of the supplements I am currently flooding myself with. (all perfectly legal if you were wondering). So FUCK YEAH EXERCISE IS EVERYWHERE PUSH IT PUSH IT BLACK KATE MOSS TONIGHT HNNNRGH!

Hmm not really mantion yet. But im sitting at around £5k. Will attempt to hit 6k by XMAS and then swap to paying over overdraft for 3 months then back into saving hard sagin. BUT im kinda wanting to treatmyself to a Playstation 3 and aflat screen TV of somesort. So ill have to wait and see.
ANYWAY!
Rod is back from his canada excursion and Imma go see Zombie land with him ion a bit. Fuck yeah!
